Had an absolute fantastic time! Got the 7pm general admission tickets for a Sunday and got through the line pretty quickly. Staging each area definately helps for overall lines. The sfx was absolutely amazing in all areas and actors! My partner definately got a few startles and scares in. I think i would of been more scared if we weren't grouped with folks who shreeked at any noise or crany and if the groups were a lil more spread out so we didn't hear what was coming. (just a note, nothing that makes the rating any lower cause I love Red Vein!) Spent probably close to two hours between the haunts, gift shop, and overall just hanging out by the fire and having a good time. Thanks for all the hard work and amazing efforts!

I was blown away by the effort put into this attraction! Absolutely loved it and I’m not particularly big on horror. A nice balance of creepy vibe vs jumpscares. There were SO many people working here, and so much artistry in the sets. Wish I could walk it during the day with the lights on just to study all of them. The price is a little steep, but on par with other experiences in the area and I think worth it given how much they must have invested into this. I would recommend the $50 fast pass if you can swing it, it turned it into practically no waiting at all while the regular line was running 1 hour plus and included a few smaller lines during the walk too. With fast pass, it took us about an hour to walk through the entire place. I can’t say it was easy to tell the 4 different sets apart, but that didn’t matter to me. High effort creativity and definitely want to come back next year!

This is hands down one of the best set ups I have ever seen at a haunt. They are so smooth and lines move fast. I enjoyed all the photo prop areas. I do wish the actors scared a little more. But they were very good. I just don't scare easy. But my friends were screaming lol. This place is so much better than kings dominion. The wait is better and the houses have so much better prompts. They even had a fire dancer. Actors are out in the wait areas too. You get assigned times to go to line which makes it so smooth. There are cool fire pits at waiting area and food available. They even have a five minute escape room too. They put so much effort into this and it shows. I loved it. Their gift shops are also really good

An awesome haunt on all levels, they did an outstanding job!!The parking staff kept the high flow customer traffic moving in a quick manner and got everyone settled into very well coordinated parking, the ticket staff was very nice and helpful and the haunt actors are the best in the business. The amount of seamless coordination with all the staff shined. This was a very well thought out and executed operation for the public.The errie atmosphere and endless scares was freaking amazing. My family had a great time.Thank you for the family memories RED VEIN. We will be back next year!!!

I absolutely loved this, I’m not usually one for haunts but the experience here was phenomenal. The story was fun and the Haunt was full of great scares. The decorations and overall design of the place had me anxious at each turn and I loved every second. Each of the actors played their roles perfectly (Especially the ones right before and in the basement) and it was overall an amazing night! 10/10

Wow! I haven't been to one of these places except once, (I forget if it was Jason's woods or field of screams in pa) when I was a teenager 25 years ago...I took my 2 boys, my 17 yr old and my younger one who's turning 12 ON HALLOWEEN! 🎃 I could not believe, he barely flinched, so MY personal favorite was the big hulking dude that noticed...and heard that this was annoying even me lol...and he lurked after him through about 3 rooms...and when this kid still wasnt phased? He chased the 3 of us with a revving chainsaw down a skinny hallway LOL! Amazing! 🤣 A SERIOUS shout-out to the actors and all those who set that place up. The props were phenomenal, and very unique, VERY creative, and SOOOO much attention to detail in EVERY spot, every corner, everything!My personal favorite decoration, id LOVE to know who put that girls head on the sheep's body LOL that was OUTSTANDING 🤣🤣🤘🤘 very impressive, we had an absolute AWESOME time!

A really well done attraction from start to finish. The atmosphere of the venue really makes it feel like you are in a horror movie. A lot of attention to detail and graphic and gruesome effects! The scare actors are all committed and have some witty humor. Highly recommend and will be returning.

By FAR THE BEST HAUNTED ATTRACTION IN RVA. The planing , the thought , the props, and the food in the waiting area. Has everything a haunted attraction is supposed to have. They care for the actors , their safety , and even small businesses. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is for something silly. I was jamming with their band they had playing the space pirates something. For a hour and half vaping by a BONFIRE. It wasn’t till my group was about to get called this aggressive rent a cop ( aka security) told us we weren’t allowed to vape here. Mind you we’re vaping for the last hour and half in front of him. No issues at all other than this hands down is one of my top 2 in RVA for scares.

Great haunted attraction! The sets and animatronics were very impressive. There were also a lot of themed mazes to keep the experience exciting and fresh. You’ll definitely get your moneys worth here. Can’t wait to go back!

Super fun and a great deal! One ticket gets you into four haunted houses which each have their own theme but follow the same storyline. You can even opt to be marked in “blood” on your forehead (red triangle, sticky but easy to clean off at home), but otherwise they will not touch you. Incredible costumes and sets all throughout! Afterwards you can visit the gift shop with lots of cool stuff, this year we got a glow in the dark t-shirt, pierced beanie, and some sick stickers! In the past we’ve gotten a camp-style baseball t-shirt, bat socks, and a UFO magnet. Plus there’s also local vendors with lots of unique spooky trinkets and accessories!

By far the best haunt in the Richmond area! We’ve attended multiple times a year since they opened (as well as every other nearby haunt), and Red Vein is the only haunt that improves every year. Also, the “no scare night” and Christmas haunt is something you can only get here!

I purchased 6 general admission tickets for 10:30 for Saturday 10/18. I was so worried we would be waiting forever but surprisingly we got into the haunt within 30 minutes! The decor was over the top and I loved the storyline as you move through the different haunt attractions. We all had an amazing time!

Went on a Saturday night and I expected long lines, but they werent too horrible. It was very well regulated to get people through but not rushed. The place and actors were amazing! First time here and we will definitely come back!!!! Highly recommend if you like haunt attractions!

I recommend paying extra for the fast pass and getting there early because obviously it gets more crowded as the night goes on. It's a fun time if you can handle the loud banging, yelling and people all up in your personal space.

Definitely worth the experience and vibe! The staff were awesome in answering questions since we were from North Carolina and the story of Emily rising is good along with them marking you lol. Plenty of photo op opportunities and overall a must in the area.

Red Vein Haunted House in Hanover is miles ahead of their competitors. The attention to detail in the set pieces, the realistic animatronics, the twists and turns, and the fog and sound. Why would you ever go to Ashland Berry Farm when Red Vein exists and is BETTER? This is a true haunted house. Big shout out to all the staff. From the people who took our tickets to every single member of the terrifying, talented cast. They were so helpful and made the experience so much fun. At Ashland Berry you have to go from house to house breaking the immersion along the way. But at Red Vein, the whole attraction is wrapped up into one big maze of horror. There are no breaks as you walk through one gigantic bone chilling adventure. There is an interconnected narrative instead of just scares for the sake of scares! GO TO RED VEIN. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

10/10 absolutely recommend this place! I took my nephew last night and we had the VIP package and it was money WELL spent! We had the best time, I can’t stop telling everyone about it. The amount of effort and attention to detail in not just the mind blowing sets and stories they created, but the costumes, masks, the overall atmosphere at this attraction just all of it was beyond incredible. Insanely detailed photo op booths we took advantage of. Loved reading the lore on the website and we were dying (😏) to meet Emily at the end! The interactions with actors were top notch, they went ALL IN! I highly recommend the VIP package to get to experience the haunt twice which we did, but also the free souvenir pin was AWESOME! We bought cool merch and used the VIP discount on it. Merch shop had me in a chokehold, so many cool things I wanted one of everything. I can’t sing the praises enough of this place. These little lambs can’t wait to come back for the next slaughter. Keep on KILLING IT! You guys are the best! 🧡🖤☠️🎃✨

Went with a group of four and all of us had a blast. The actors were AMAZING and would follow around members of your group if you were able to tell them a name of someone you were with. They followed my wife for a good 5 minutes 😂 12/10 would do again

My husband and i have been to countless haunts....it does take quite alot to impress us....out of ALL of them...red vein is hands down superior to them all! It's not your normal jump scare haunt...it puts you smack dab in the middle of a horror film with incredibly scary and talented actors and amazing movie quality props and walk throughs...every year gets better and better but this year...BEST YET! EVERYONE who loves a good scare needs to experience this...they know Halloween and they know horror!2021 haunt year: BEST YEAR YET, ACTUALLY BEST HAUNT WEVE EVER BEEN TOO, listen I can sit here all day and say how terrifying the experience was but. Nothing I say can truly explain how amazingly terrifying it was, please do miss this haunt, the actors are Hollywood quality i mean they are SCARY amd the props and makeup and sets omg everything is just top notch scary, and so real, amd detailed omg my favorite haunt, we'll be spreading the word!!! If you are a lover of Halloween amd scares, do not miss this one!! Thank you so much red vein for bettering every year and truly capturing what Halloween is all about we'll be back!!2024: they continue to go above and beyond every year! Thr actors know how ti scare! And the attention to the creepy details throughout the haunt give it the experience you want! We'll be back every year and will continue to spread the word about red vein! The best in VA still! We take our kids to the no slaughter night too and they love it!2025: I'm not just saying this....THIS WAS THEIR BEST YEAR YET. I didnt know it was possible for them to get even better makeup, actors, effects, EVERYTHING but they once again have gone above and beyond what we expected. I really enjoyed this haunt. The decorating was super detailed and the scare actors were great at their job!If you are able to purchase the Fast Pass, it is worth it to avoid the long line.My only complaint is they don't allow handbags which they don't tell you until you have walked all the way from your car to the check-in point which is a ten minute walk.There should be signs in the parking lot or mention of it on the website but all it says is "backpacks and oversized bags are not allowed". It turns out "oversized" means literally any bag bigger than a DVD case....?So just a heads up to leave those in the car.

Me and my group went on the 2nd night of the Christmas event. This was our first experience at Red Vein and we loved it! The spacing of the different scenes give a nice calm down time before entering the next one. I was a really big fan of just how much detail went into the scenes and the props that populated them. Idk who does the artwork but if you're reading this you're amazing. (A huge shout out to our friends that we met all the way back in NC at Woods of Terror's Krampus Christmas)

I have visited red vein for years and this was the first time I've gone for the Christmas haunt. I have to say this is the best experience I've ever had at red vein!! I've been trying to get over my fear of clowns and masks and even though I'm still terrified when I leave, I have the best time!! The staff are so good at what they do and I can't wait to go next year for Halloween!! And to the man with the chainsaw that I completely ran into with my entire body, I am so sorry!! I thought I had a clear path to run lol Everyone screaming Ericka at the end of the maze made my entire night so thank you Red Vein again for being awesome!!!

Great haunt! Went for their Christmas event this year. Actors were on point. Not only were they crafty with their jumpscares, they were hilarious! 😂 Whole walkthrough is about 45 minutes in total. Not too long, not too short. I ONLY gave a 4 because being “marked” with the red blood added nothing to the experience really. I was hoping the actors would make it more interactive or single us out or something. Also, “the blood” was really messy and never dried. Nonetheless, definitely recommend it.

The decorations were amazing and the actors were great. I was impressed by the number of people involved in the event and the photo op spots. The experience is in small groups, so it's very satisfying and terrifying. It was one of the best date nights ever and I would highly recommend it.

I normally work on weekends, and was so excited to finally have a night off to go to a haunted house...Red Vein was one of the only ones within driving distance that was open on Nov 1st, and I'm so glad we went! SO MUCH value for the ticket price, and it's easy to see why they have won awards. Great setup, friendly staff, amazing quality props and costumes, and the walk was friendly to people with slight mobility challenges. We bought tickets for 7pm, and it was PERFECT - lines weren't too long, it only took about 20min to get to the entrance, and the whole experience took about 45min once we entered. We browsed the merch and trinkets afterwards, and got donuts and cider, so we were gone by 9pm. Such a great family outing!!! We're excited to go back for their Christmas haunt, and we will be checking out their escape rooms as well.

Ok, last couple seasons red vein was going down hill. I had dropped my rating to 3 stars. Last year was better but lacked extra haunters. This year i can clearly say they are back to 5 stars if not higher. They added a lot more haunted area (10-15 minutes ), they listened to me , lol, or others and added what i call floating haunters that just roam around, they filled in a lot of the open no haunters around while walking. Great job Red Vein and great job from the haunters, they did a fabulous job. ..2024 update- I was excited to hear aliens but sad to see very little alien.. This year was still very good and seems to have more haunters but still lacks floating/roaming haunters. Too many dead stops where excellent scares could be achieved. That being said, still the best haunt around. Thank you Red Vein, I bought tickets for Sat but some how I was issued Friday tickets. I want to thank you for honoring them on Saturday instead of saying sorry you missed it. That I would rate 6 stars if google allowed it.

We drove 2 hours to come see the RED VEIN HAUNT And it was well worth it. Great actors and great props. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I hope they add more food vendors next time!

Not much to say if you make it through til the end but "What did I just put myself through"...I screamed alot, jumped alot so much so, I had to hold my chest, uncontrollable tears, and couldn't sleep too well after getting home....Not sure if bringing the trauma home was suppose to be apart of the experience and yet i wanna go back 🤔. FYI, I recommend getting marked with blood, no regrets.

So impressed with this place! Better than Ashland berry farm, Haunt and Howl o Scream combined. The attention to detail was incredible and I loved how they spaced out groups instead of just having dozens at a time. Outstanding job, can’t wait for next year!

Incredible attractions, they did an amazing job in production! The actors were fun to watch as well. I visited with some friends and our kids (ages 9 to 13), and we all loved it, we are coming back next year.
